DMA firmware update guide 2026 — when and why to flash

Your DMA card's firmware controls how it presents itself on the PCIe bus. Old firmware = known vendor ID = potential flag. Fresh firmware = randomized presentation = safe.

When to flash

Every time FACEIT AC or VAC ships a major update — typically every 6–8 weeks. Also whenever your vendor pushes a new build (we Telegram-notify our customers).

  • Captain DMA 75T — flash via PCILeech, takes 2 minutes
  • Stark100T — vendor tool, 90 seconds
  • Squirrel 35T — slower, ~4 minutes
  • Always flash on PC #2 — never on gaming PC

What flashing does

Randomizes the PCIe device ID, subsystem ID, and revision. Re-rolls the read-loop timing. Patches any known IOMMU bypass that vendors have closed.

"Our kit ships pre-flashed and we push updates monthly."
