'External' overlays sold as undetected are usually still windowed-borderless layers on the same PC. FACEIT AC sees them. The only overlay that's actually external is one rendered on a second monitor connected to a second PC.
What 'external' should mean
If the overlay process runs on your gaming PC, it isn't external. If FACEIT AC can enumerate it, it isn't external. True external = lives on a different machine entirely.
- Window overlay — detected within days
- Hidden process overlay — detected within weeks
- Driver-level overlay — detected by FACEIT AC v4.7 kernel scan
- Second-monitor DMA overlay — undetectable by definition
Cost of true external
You need a second PC and a DMA card. Budget €750–€1,200 for the full kit. Yes, it's more than a €20/mo internal — but it's the only thing that doesn't die in two weeks.
